Variety: Andrew Garfield's turn as Sam Altman in Luca Guadagnino's OpenAI drama "Artificial" is drawing early Oscar talk.
Neon acquired worldwide rights in late June after Amazon MGM Studios, which had greenlighted the film, dropped it several months after Amazon closed a $50B investment in OpenAI.
Written by Simon Rich, the film reconstructs the 5-day crisis in November 2023 when OpenAI's board abruptly dismissed Altman before reinstating him.
