Starlink is a life-saving technology. A huge tree crushed a family’s car in the French Alps. A passerby says there was no mobile signal, so he used his @Starlink Mini, mounted on his car, to call emergency services and share GPS coordinates. Rescuers arrived about 20 minutes later. Firefighters freed the trapped occupants, and all five survived. A working connection can mean the difference between life and death. Starlink can provide that lifeline when people need it most. This life-saving technology should be available in every part of the world.

BREAKING: President Trump on Elon Musk today: “First, we honor an industrial titan, a brilliant engineer, and one of the greatest technology founders to ever live. His name is Elon Musk. Quite honestly, there’s nobody like him. Few Americans in history have done more to advance America’s national interest than Elon. In one field after another, his genius and determination have made science fiction into reality. And that is so true. Elon founded SpaceX with his life savings in 2002 and created the first privately developed liquid-fueled rocket to reach orbit in the face of vanishingly impossible odds. Nobody thought it was possible to do the things he’s doing, and in so many different ways. SpaceX saved NASA from relying on foreign nations to send our astronauts into space. And I want to congratulate SpaceX on the safe return of Crew-12 from the International Space Station just a few hours ago. Congratulations. Well, we wanted to make sure. Could you imagine if things didn’t work out so well? It would be not a very happy moment. I wonder if he’d be here. I think he might not be here. But it always works out well for Elon, right? We’re proud of you. Very proud of you. National treasure. Under Elon’s leadership, SpaceX has also developed Starship, the largest rocket in history, which is caught out of thin air for rapid reuse. And it’s the first time anyone has ever seen anything quite like it. They also created the largest-ever communication satellite network, Starlink. And in North Carolina, I will tell you personally, because I was involved, we had a hurricane, one of the great water hurricanes of all time. Delivered more water than at any time that we can remember on record. It saved hundreds of lives by calling Elon. I remember the governor said, ‘Sir, is there any way… do you know a man named Elon Musk?’ I said, ‘I happen to know him, yes.’ ‘We need Starlink because the water was so deep that many islands were created and the people had no way of getting off those islands, and they had no communication.’ And they said, ‘We cannot get anybody to help us.’ And I called up Elon, and it was like impossible to get this equipment. And he had it there in a matter of hours and saved hundreds of lives. Saved hundreds of lives in North Carolina. So, I never forgot that experience. It was a terrible time and the job he did. And he acted so fast. Everybody said they were impossible to get. So, thank you, Elon, for that very special moment. In addition, Elon created Tesla, the first successful new car manufacturer in over 75 years, producing the first commercially viable electric cars with the first consumer self-driving technology. And interestingly, when you mentioned Tesla, my uncle, Dr. John Trump, was commissioned by the United States government to do a report on Nikola Tesla. They wanted to know: was he real or not real? Was he a true genius or not? My uncle, after a fairly short period of time, determined that he was a true and great genius and that he was real in every single way. Otherwise, you’d have to change the name of the car company. You wouldn’t want to be a… See, now, if I did the report, Elon, I might say, ‘He wasn’t that good.’ But my uncle was a different kind of a person than I am. And he gave Tesla the highest report. He said he was a true, great genius. So, very nice. Through Neuralink, Elon is also restoring sight, speech, and motion to those who cannot see, talk, or move. And he turned SpaceX AI into one of the world’s leaders in superintelligence. Elon is our modern-day Thomas Edison. And, Elon, I want to congratulate you. You’re my friend in all of that, but you are a very, very special guy. Thank you very much, and congratulations, Elon. Great. Great job.”

Elon is right to demand answers. India once had more than a dozen telecom operators competing for customers. Today, Jio and Airtel account for nearly 77% of India’s wireless subscriptions. What is the harm in adding another competitor? Healthy competition encourages providers to offer better prices and service, giving consumers more choice and better value. Starlink could offer Indian households, businesses and communities another broadband option, especially in remote villages, mountains and islands where expanding existing networks is difficult. Indians deserve greater transparency, better connectivity and the freedom to choose. Let Starlink compete and let consumers decide.

ELON MUSK: “It's going to be pretty wild that you can have a rocket car. The car has attitude control thrusters and main thrusters in the rear, so it can basically fly like a rocket. It could do rolls. It could do crazy gymnastics. Whatever you want, really. This is not necessarily a safety-optimized car, but it takes the fun meter to 11 out of 10. This will be an actual car that’s on the roads. I’m not sure it’s necessarily legal in all jurisdictions. The car can recharge its air tank, so it’s not like you need special propellant or anything like that. It literally is just going to pop itself up and be able to do these maneuvers whenever you’d like.”

India needs @Starlink 🇮🇳 • 11,256 of India’s listed villages still lacked 4G coverage as of May 2026. • India had 1.093 billion internet subscriptions in March 2026, but only 440.87 million were rural. Rural subscription density was 48.31 per 100 people, compared with 126.80 in urban India. • BharatNet had laid over 850,000 route-km of fibre and made about 221,000 Gram Panchayats service-ready. However, its Points of Presence were reported operational at only 80,472 Gram Panchayats in June 2026. • Only 4.26% of India’s internet subscriptions were wired connections in March 2026. Starlink could give underserved communities another route to high-speed broadband. • Starlink has already built 20 gateway sites in India, according to SpaceX Vice President of Starlink Business Operations Lauren Dreyer, speaking at India Mobile Congress today. • Starlink says it has developed India-specific security controls designed to keep Indian user data within India. • Its satellite network could bring high-speed internet to remote villages, mountains and islands where extending fibre or mobile networks is difficult. • Better connectivity could help rural schools access online learning, clinics offer remote consultations and small businesses reach more customers. Starlink already supports education and healthcare in remote communities internationally. • Portable Starlink terminals have supported disaster response around the world. They could give Indian emergency teams backup connectivity when floods, earthquakes or storms damage ground networks. • Direct to Cell could also help ordinary 4G phones connect beyond tower coverage, subject to Indian approvals and mobile operator partnerships. • The government itself identifies difficult terrain, low commercial viability and infrastructure constraints as reasons for remaining coverage gaps. This is exactly where Starlink could help India reach more people. • India should complete the remaining clearances and spectrum allocation so Starlink can begin commercial service. • SpaceX’s Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, Lauren Dreyer, said that Starlink is ready to help achieve Prime Minister Modi’s vision of 100% connectivity across India. She highlighted its potential to connect remote classrooms, support telemedicine and restore connectivity after disasters, adding, “With Starlink, people can get connected within minutes, not years.” India’s hardest-to-reach communities deserve reliable internet too.

When Starlink became a lifeline for a family fighting to save their dad. ❤️ Nigel Norwood suffered cardiac arrest while camping at a remote beach in Western Australia, about 100 kilometres from the nearest hospital. There was no mobile signal. His wife, Lynne, spotted another camper’s @Starlink and used it to call emergency services. “This was the only way to get a call out from the campsite,” she later said. While she called for help, their 16-year-old son performed CPR with another camper, and their 19-year-old son brought a nearby defibrillator. After three shocks, Nigel’s pulse returned. He received hospital care and recovered. Starlink made that emergency call possible. When lives are at risk, a working connection can make all the difference. This life-saving technology should be available in every part of the world.

BREAKING: Elon Musk takes aim at Mukesh Ambani, calling him “Prime Minister Ambani” and asking him to let Starlink compete in India. Starlink could help children access education, connect small businesses to global markets and save lives when disasters knock out other networks. Elon is right to speak up. He has helped build technology that could change lives in communities still waiting for reliable internet. His argument deserves support: more opportunity for children, more customers for businesses and a lifeline for families during emergencies. India should welcome that ambition. Let Starlink compete, give Indians more choice and let consumers decide.

2.2 billion people, 26% of the world were offline in 2025. Only 58% of rural residents were online, versus 85% in cities and only 36% across Africa. Everyone should have internet access. @Starlink will help close this gap. It already serves 167+ countries, territories & markets.

"If you talk to somebody who gets all their information from legacy media, they are living in a different world than if they are listening to your podcast or getting news from 𝕏. They are living in an alternate reality." — Elon Musk
